Hi Gordon,
Just wanted to thank you for your hospitality yesterday. It took me from 3.00 p.m to 7.45 p.m to do the 247 miles home! Bloody roadworks on all of the motorways, with 50 mph speed limits and average speed cameras everywhere. Still averaged 52 mph, however.
The car ran like a dream, and I´m very pleased. I managed to clear the garage out this morning of the stuff temporarily housed in there, so "He" is away and safe in a locked and alarmed space. Did a bit of polishing with Silvo wadding over the small scratches I found here and there, and applied silicon grease to all of the door rubbers (as I like to do occasionally on all our vehicles). It keeps them supple and prevents them from freezing shut in the wintertime. I also joined the MGOC today as a joint membership with the wife : cost me £1.50 for an additional membership card. All in all I´m as chuffed as a chuffed thing from Chuffedsville !!
